Commissioners Reimbursement of Expenses
Commissioners are eligible for reimbursement of expenses relating to their duties as Argyle Fire District Commissioners.
Commissioners maybe be reimbursed for travel and per diem expenses as provided in Florida Statutes 112.061, as may be amended from time to time. All reimbursements require proof of expenses, invoices, receipts, etc.
The Argyle Fire District Commissioners in 2014 put into Resolution #2014-001 an increase in the Non-Ad Valorem Special Assessment that is levied by the Fire District on residences and businesses within the Argyle Fire District boundaries.
It was put on the ballot as a local referendum on August 26 2014. The referendum passed with a 61% yes and a 38% no vote.
The funds collected from this Non-Ad Valorem Special Assessment provide the largest share of the income budgeted for the Fire District.
